The Whisky House has the right water of life (Uisce Beatha, Aqua vitae) for everyone who fancies whisky.
The Whisky House is not a traditional shop, but a cultural and culinary whisky centre where everyone is always welcome.
Connoisseurs and collectors from near and far come here for single malts, cask-strength bottlings and old and rare vintage whiskies, chosen bottle by bottle.

Bottle of the Month
Every month we offer one rare bottle from our collection to connoisseurs and collectors. You make an offer, and we decide which offer we accept.
Your bid is an offer to purchase this bottle. A sale is only concluded when The Whisky House manually accepts an offer. The highest offer is not automatically accepted, and we may decline any offer.
Whisky tastings
The Whisky House can provide a whisky tasting for every occasion and every group.
Tastings are possible in our tasting cellar or at any other location. We always deliver a tailor-made solution.

The Whisky House Underground
Form a group and immerse yourself in the world of single malt whisky. No prior knowledge is needed: we explain everything, so a tasting usually takes more than two hours. Tastings can be organised every day except Sunday, at any time.
The budget is flexible, starting from €35 per person. This includes glasses, water and tasting notes. Tastings with a higher budget and more exclusive malts are of course also possible.
No food is served during the tasting. On request we can serve small bites or matching appetisers afterwards.

We are open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 18:00 for private customers. On other days you are welcome by appointment.

Where is The Whisky House?
The Whisky House is at Assestraat 11, 1790 Affligem (Essene), Belgium, between Brussels and Aalst, close to the E40 motorway.
When is the shop open?
Every Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00. On other days you are welcome by appointment. Call us or send an email.
Can I book a private whisky tasting?
Yes. Private tastings for groups of 8 to 20 people take place in our tasting cellar, every day except Sunday. A standard tasting with at least 6 whiskies starts from €35 per person, a masterclass from €42. We also come to your location.
Is the Bottle of the Month an auction?
No. Every bid is an offer to purchase. A sale is only concluded when The Whisky House manually accepts an offer. The highest offer is not automatically accepted.
Do you ship whisky abroad?
We ship within the European Union. Buyers outside the EU can make an offer if they arrange and pay for shipping, customs and import themselves, or collect the bottle in person at the shop.
Do I need to be 18?
Yes. We only sell alcohol to adults aged 18 or over. Proof of age (ID) is required on delivery or pickup, and for tastings.
